Michael Jordan, CEO, attended the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations’ (NCSEA) annual conference last weekend to accept an award for the “Left Coast Lifter,” a heavy lift floating crane currently erecting the major components of the new San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge self-anchored suspension span. The Outstanding Project Award is the highest honor in the NCSEA 2011 Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards program. The project was a collaboration among Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (ZPMC), American Bridge/Flour Daniel Joint Venture (ABF), and Liftech Consultants Inc. (Liftech).
NCSEA is the parent organization for SEAONC, which granted an Award of Excellence for the same project to ZPMC, ABF, and Liftech.
