Liftech spent a team building afternoon at The Crucible, an industrial arts school and nonprofit organization in Oakland. The combined group had lunch together, played an ice breaker game, and then divided into two groups.
One group learned how to cut glass, worked on individual pieces of a larger container crane mosaic, and at the end combined the pieces. Most of the pieces lined up surprisingly well with the surrounding pieces, though there were some outliers that added character to the final product.
The other group learned how to weld and fabricated a metal frame for the mosaic. Each person also welded a small container crane piece to put on the frame and cut out and welded a letter to spell out “Liftech.”
The final mosaic and frame now hang proudly in Liftech’s office!
